30-July-2010  UMA Asks to become a Sponsor for the F4U Project.

UMA Instruments   We stopped by the UMA Instruments, Inc. booth at the AirVenture airshow to talk to them about purchasing non-functioning display gauges.  We met Sharon who is the Sales & Customer Service Representative.  After telling Sharon about how we were going to do a cockpit mockup using only UMA display gauges and how we also plan to use fully working gauges on the flyable prototype, Sharon was extremely happy to hear about our project, Sharon immediately asked us if we were looking for sponsors.  Of course we accepted and we can't wait the work with UMA on the Corsair project and future projects as well.

Welcome aboard and thank you!

16-Sept-2009   F2G-1 No Longer Just a Concept!
We were approached this week by two engineers that were also getting ready to start an F2G-1 Corsair for the primary purpose of racing.  After several hours of discussion, it was decided to merge our efforts into one project.

The new aircraft will be roughly 75% and will a two-seater designed around a 900 HP engine.
More news to come!

01-Sept-2009   F2G Concept Promotional Airplane Update
RT Foster is an extremely well know artist known for his Bomber nose-art and his work is featured all types of aircraft.  Mr. Foster and his daughter have agreed to do the concept artwork for a 'possible' future presentation to Marathon.

17-May-2009   Bearcat
The Bearcat was pulled from storage and the dimensions were checked to see just how much larger the aircraft would be if we mounted a Rotec R3600 rather than the Rotec R2800 that was originally planned.   ...more details later.

10-May-2009   Japanese Zero Plans
The Japanese Zero Plans that were started 2 years ago were pulled out of storage due to the possibility we may need to build several for Jolly Roger's movie.

02-February-2009   Promotional Aircraft
For most air racing fans, seeing the famous F2G racing corsair is a familiar sight.   The sponsor markings on the famous Corsair race plane are that of Goodyear and Sohio.   Goodyear is well known for its tires and Sohio for its fuel.   In reality, Goodyear was the not only the chief sponsor, but the manufacturer. Our company is located in Findlay Ohio and here in Findlay, Ohio where Marathon Oil's headquarters is located as well as Cooper Tire Company.
Our concept is simple; NuLANtek would like to develop a concept aircraft where Marathon and Cooper Tire are the chief sponsors.   The only question remaining for this concept project is to which Corsair model should be used?  Being considered are the F4U-1a, F4U-5 or one of the several F2G variations.

10-May-2009   Japanese Zero
The Japanese Zero Plans that were in storage were pulled out of storage due to the possibility we may need to build several for Jolly Roger's movie.

03-January-2009   Movie Props
We will be the first company considered to make a number of replicas for the upcoming movie abount the Famous Navy Squadron VF-17 (Jolly Rogers).

July-2008   Kepford Memorial
WarBird Replicas was chosen by the BentWing Foundation to make the Corsair for the Ike Kepford memorial in Muskegon, Michigan.  The image below shows the original concept.

07-Sept-2011
Facility News UPDATE:  The est. costs on a new building were far too out of my reach and I'm not willing to borrow $300,000.   So we will be reconsidering renting again if we can find something reasonable.

11-July-2011
Facility Update! I contacted my builder today and he's telling me that the bid package and designs will be done this week for the new facility.

15-June-2011
Into storage we go! It was getting clear to us the current facility was getting too small and our lease was at an end.   So we moved into a storage facility until we could build or find a larger place to rent.
